Toy Drive, Thank You!

We would like to thank you for your continued support. In a year that has provided unprecedented obstacles, we are proud and humbled by the incredible outpour of generosity. The pandemic has created unique challenges, but you have made sure to provide one less to those families in need. This fundraiser has organically ingrained itself into the fabric of our holiday seasons. We are fortunate to have an event that dual purposes as an opportunity to catch-up with great friends and to give back to the community that has fostered these strong relationships.

Your support has helped fortify our mission. It’s encouraging to see the network of participation grow each year. We would be remiss if we did not communicate our accomplishments. After a few short weeks of promoting the fundraiser, we were able to collect over 300 toys and over $4,000 in generous donations.

We are looking forward to next year, after all, we’ll have two years to catch up on! In the meantime, we cannot thank you enough for all of your efforts. We wish a safe and enjoyable holiday season to you and your families!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you and best wishes,

Even a small donation could help John Gallo reach their fundraising goal. And if you can’t make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.

Thanks for taking a look!

Remembering Robert F Nealon, PGK

Robert F Nealon, PGK

December 16, 1935 – February 2, 2020

Robert Francis Nealon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020. Robert (or Bob to his friends, which were many) was an Irish-Catholic gentleman in the purest sense.

He was born and raised in Queens Village, N.Y. to William Joseph Nealon and Mary Ahern. Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956. After leaving the military, Bob went to work for the New York Telephone company where he remained for 42 years before retiring. During his retirement, he was often found putting less fortunate players to shame at the Douglaston Golf Course.

In 1957 he met and fell in love with Regina Ann Weston. The two were married on September 12, 1959. They spent the 60+ years married raising family, making wonderful memories while sharing the experiences of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A diehard NY Mets, Giants and Rangers fan, Bob always welcomed conversation and camaraderie that came with rooting for his favorite team.

He is survived by his wife Regina, his brother Francis and his wife Jane and his sister-in-law Ann. He is also survived by his children; his son Robert Jr. and his wife Cynthia, daughter Virginia, son Patrick and his wife Kathleen, son Sean and his wife Veronica, son Christopher and his wife Anne, Son Matthew and his wife Kathleen and his daughter Mary Myles and her husband David.

Bob was also the proud grandfather of Jessica and her husband Vincent, Caroline, Elizabeth, Brianna Timothy, Shannon, Christopher, John, Brian, Sean, Stephen, Anna, Mairead, Mateo and Caitlin.

Bob was also survived by three great-grand children Nicholas, Robert and Aisling.

Bob, from your extended family at Saint Anne’s you and your family will always remain in our prayers. May you rest in peace. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
